Some More New Purchases

I thought it was about time that I did a new purchases post again, as I have been buying a few things appropriate for Autumn, but also a couple of things that were for the end of Summer that I didn’t yet share with you. Most of the pieces I bought on sale or on eBay, so I got some great deals on them! There’s nothing I love more than finding the pieces you want on sale or for a fraction of the price!

Above on the left is my new mint shirt from Forever 21. It wasn’t expensive as I’m sure you have guessed since it came from that shop, but I thought it was really cute! I’ve sort of got a little addiction to mint lately and sleeveless shirts! On the right is a large floral snood that I got from Warehouse for over 50% off. I know florals are for Spring and Summer mainly, but I plan on wearing it with my leather jacket and skinny jeans so I can transition it to Autumn too!

The first bag above is one that I have had my eye on for a while! It’s the black and shearling cross body bag from ASOS. It wasn’t expensive at all, it was in the region of £25 if I remember correctly, but I thought it would be perfect for the cooler wear! It looks very Wintery and pretty! Below is one that I got from Forever 21, again it was cheap, around £20 so I couldn’t say no. I love the contrast of the plum and navy together, it’s really cute!

Now this is a jacket that I wanted over a year ago from Topshop. I believe it came out last Autumn and it’s a faux shearling aviator jacket in dark brown. I never bought it at the time as I considered it much too expensive to what it was (£80), but I recently picked it up on eBay for around £30, so I’m pretty happy with that! I can’t wait to wear it, it’s really warm and I love aviator jackets!

Left is another eBay find! It’s the ombre maxi skirt from Topshop which I originally wanted, but it had completely sold out in my size. Thankfully I found it brand new on eBay for less than half price so I was ecstatic to snap it up! I just think it’s a bit too cold now to wear it. Maybe next year! On the right is an adorable little mink coloured cross body bag that I got from ASOS. It wasn’t expensive again, around £20, but it will be perfect for having a neutral bag that will go with anything and I wont have to worry about ruining, hence my Mulberry Alexa Clutch.

On the left is also an eBay buy and it was the best deal of them all! It’s a new floral dip dye skirt from Topshop and I won it for about £4! It was a great find and I think it’s adorable! However it’s too cold to wear it now, but my friend suggested wearing it with tights. I never usually wear them as they itch, but I’m going to go on the look out for some soft ones! And last but not least, on the right is my faux fur collar by Pieces which I snapped up on ASOS and wore over the weekend. I’ve always loved the idea of having a furry collar on coats and jackets (never real fur of course) so when I saw this in the sale for £10 I thought it was a great option for the look. I can put this on my coats and jackets that I already own to give them a new look. I didn’t see the point in saving up to shell out a lot of money on a new coat with faux fur as I can’t really afford to, so I’m classing this as a little DIY project!

Speaking of new things, I’m wanting another new watch! I did mention before that I am obsessed with my Marc by Marc Jacobs one and I literally never want to take it off. It’s funny because up until a few months ago I never liked wearing watches at all. I think I may need to look for some more that I love. I know my boyfriend loves the beautiful classic Omega watches, but unfortunately I can’t buy one. Although, there was one years ago, modelled by Cindy Crawford with coloured stones as numbers, that was amazing! Anyway, what do you think of my new purchases?

Do you think the aviator jacket would flatter curvier girls? I am a curvier girl and was wondering it may make me look too bulky? x

If I’m honest I don’t think it would, I think it’s a bit too square and boxy. You would need something nipped in at the waist and more structured to be flattering I think. Hope that helps!

Love the fake fur collar; I have two which I’ve had for an age (bought bargain-cheap from Primani several years ago)! and love them. They’re so versatile and very warm.

I’ve actually been eyeing the Topshop jacket for a few weeks now on eBay and, upon searching, stumbled upon your lovely fashion blog! I have a relatively tall and slim build with broader shoulders, so I usually have to purchase larger sizes to make sure a jacket/coat fits comfortably on my shoulders. I was wondering, what size did you end up purchasing? I also saw your Aviator Style post and the jacket looks great on you! 🙂

Hi Rox, I got size 8 in the Tall version as the regular is quite short. It’s really thick and stiff though for a jacket, so can be a bit awkward to wear as the arms are hard to bend, but it’s a gorgeous jacket! Size 8 is my usual size in Topshop jackets and coats though, for reference 🙂

Hi Lorna, thank you so much for your input! It was tremendously helpful 🙂 In addition to that, you have such a chic yet unique style. Keep up the great work! 🙂
