(Jeans – Exact, Jacket – Exact, Shirt – Similar, Shoes – Similar, Bag – Exact, Rings – Exact)
I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago around Christmas time and I hadn’t got around to posting it yet. I felt like wearing something a little more tough and edgy which is why I chose my Frankie B. Destroyed Leather Patch Skinny Jeans in Black Fade. These are absolutely amazing and I adore them! They have a faded and washed black shade to them and underneath the rips at the knees there are faux leather patches. I think this is what really gives them an edge and makes them so cool! Not to mention I adore how these fit, I’ve always been a fan of the way Daniella makes her jeans! They are incredibly flattering!
To keep with the theme of leather, I wore my French Connection Athena Faux Leather Biker Jacket with this outfit. I think it matches the jeans quite well and it’s one of my favourite leather style jackets due to the way it fits me. To bring some colour to the look, I wore my Topshop Green/Blue Checked Shirt underneath (to purposely stay away from burgundy) and then wore my Cambridge Satchel 11″ Bag in Wine Matte which is exclusive to ASOS only. This is actually my favourite Cambridge Satchel and I do own three of them, but the colour on this one is gorgeous! And to think, I was going to send it back initially too!
For my shoes, I chose my Topshop Salma Black Platform Heels to go with this look as I know they lengthen my legs well and are beautiful! I tend to wear these a lot as a classic black pair of heels, even though I regret never buying a pair of classic Christian Louboutin Black Pigalle heels. They would be so perfect for when I need black pumps! During the winter, I don’t tend to wear a lot of jewellery, so I thought I would change that and wore my Butler & Wilson Eye and Lip Rings and my Forever 21 Blue/Green Owl Necklace to tie in with the shirt colours. Overall, I do really quite like how this turned out as it’s something different. I hope you all have a lovely weekend! Do you have anything planned? As always though, let me know what you think of the outfit in the comments below!

Those jeans look gorgeous! Sigh, one day I’ll own a satchel bag. I do keep hinting to my boyfriend but he doesn’t seem to get the message! 😉

I love your outfit! I caught the review on denimblog (it for some reason won’t let me post comments, it says I’m making comments to quickly and to slow down, when in reality, I haven’t posted any other comments previously, if that makes any sense!). Those jeans look great on you! Sometimes, with more dramatic denim I get stuck on what to pair with them, and just stick to a white top (which is getting to be a bad habit)- but the plaid looks great with it!

Thanks Jen! Oh how weird, perhaps the site is glitching or something. I’ve been able to leave comments though, maybe it might fix itself. I’m glad you like them, they are really soft and beautiful!
I love that pop of pink from the bag and the owl necklace is a cute little touch.

The best part of this post is where you write that the jeans are ‘incredibly flattering’.
I guess this is the sort of understatement you as a woman need to resort to when saying: ‘This look is so sexy, guys; and I know it !’
Whether merely implied or expressed directly; it’s refreshing that you occasionally acknowledge your femininity, Lorna.
But you do it with style, elegance…and irony. The patches of girlie colors (pink/red lips, ring, and bag) add an ironic twist and distance to the raw sexiness of the look. And the bracelet with the owl (the traditional bird of wisdom) seems to say: ‘She messing with you, guys; and you don’t know it !’
Author
Lol, it’s funny how you get all of that from one outfit! But since I’m used to reviewing jeans for the girls, that’s the usual way I say if they fit well or not. I do find the back pockets on these really flattering in comparison to some other jeans! They are positioned well! I’m not so sure I’m full of wisdom like the wise old owl though, ha ha! I’m glad you liked the look!
Oops….Seems I needed to familiarize myself with some vital jeans terminology in order not to appear too blunt 🙂
-‘Flattering’ (=Sexy. I’ll make sure to use this term more frequently).
-‘Muffin Top’ (=Not-so-sexy. Never heard this one before.
But know EXACTLY what you mean 🙂
-Unfit ‘Leg/Hip Size Ratio’ (The story of my life !! )
And, I forgot to mention that I like your look in this post…a lot.

Thanks Karsten 🙂 I genuinely just wear the clothes because I like them though, not for any hidden meaning. Like I chose the owl necklace purely because it was the only one that went with the shirt lol 🙂
You look great Lorna, you wear black so well, I love the style of this whole outfit x

You look fantastic and I love the pop of the bag against the blues and blacks of the outfit! This also reminds me that I should buy a Cambridge Satchel bag soon as it has been on my covet list for a while!
