Hi everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine has been quite quiet as I’ve been too busy lately, taking a bit of a back seat was needed. I got a bit sick after I went to Wales on Wednesday, but I’m doing much better now and am here with a new outfit update! We took these photos last weekend and again, I was trying something different. I don’t usually wear tighter or shorter skirts like this, but after seeing this gorgeous wrap skirt from Zara on a couple of other fashion bloggers and online, I knew that I would love it. Isn’t it pretty? It’s sort of a charcoal marl grey shade and really soft and comfortable. It does have a tendency to ride up though when you walk!
I wanted to make the outfit a little on the edgier side, more than the dressed up side, which is why I tucked in a white t-shirt and layered on my Topshop PU leather biker jacket. I think this just dresses this type of look down enough to work for the day time and of course, I wore my trusty Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 heels again. I definitely mean it when I say that they literally go with everything! For my accessories, I had an older key necklace in pewter and then my Ray-Ban mirrored blue aviators too. I do quite like how this outfit turned out, it’s definitely different for me!
I also wanted to talk about these earrings, I got them from Azendi and they are the Carousel earrings in Aqua Blue. I’ve been wearing the Carousel in Purple for about two and a half years and never changed them, but they had gotten a little worn out so I’m really excited to now own these! The blue is so intense on them, I can’t stop looking at it. They aren’t heavy either and around the center stone there are lots of other little crystals too. They are made of sterling silver and I think they are stunning! That’s three pieces I own from the Carousel collection now! I have two earrings and a ring! Aren’t they pretty? I still have them in and haven’t taken them out since I got them! Anyway, let me know what you think of my outfit and the earrings! I always love to know!

My goodness you are looking so amazing! I am more than inspired.
Those earrings are, to me, the epitome of perfect drop earrings. I keep looking for some but can’t quite find exactly what I am on the hunt for.
Also, glad we’re seeing more of your Louboutins!
Take care and thanks for sharing!

Sorry, Lorna, but I have to say that, in my opinion, that skirt does you no favours when viewed from the front. To me it looks like it’s got caught on your belt or something. And it’s only because the rear hangs lower.
On the other hand it does suit you very well from the side.
No objections to the outfit as a whole since the filling is as gorgeous as ever… lol

Really? That’s interesting because to me, it makes my legs look longer having the wrap higher at the front, giving it more of a 3D look. I find skirts that are the same length at the front as the back and straight across to be really boring and shorten my legs, this one I thought lengthened them quite a lot because you can see more of them? And you don’t have to be sorry, it doesn’t offend me 🙂 I appreciate honesty all the time, so I’m glad you felt like you could be honest 🙂
No probs…
If the rear cut was also oblique, like the front one, I find it might work better. The problem, in my view, is the clashing of angles. To put it bluntly it invites one to try and find your panties. And I don’t think that’s what you’re trying to achieve, is it? I much prefer the subtelty of a hint rather than exposure… but then that’s me!
What I mean is more of an Egyptian look. The front at 45º from left to right and the rear from right to left… it’s the horizontal cut at the back that breaks the effect. Your legs look longer, of course, but that also happens when you wear heels.

That’s a fair enough point, although I fear if the back was the same angle as the front, it would be too short and even more inviting lol.
Really diggin’ the skirt!!! 😀
