Jazzing Up A Country Walk With Leather & Wellies

(Jeans – Similar, Wellies – Exact, Top – Similar, Scarf – Similar, Hat – Similar)

Since I live in the countryside, being surrounded by the fields and trees is something that I am used to. Going for walks and generally enjoying the scenery is what I do quite often when the weather is nice, but I don’t always document it since I just wear wellies, jeans and a jumper, nothing fancy. However, on the weekend, I thought I would jazz my country walk attire up a little and make it different, make it worthy of it fashion blog.

The key element is always finding something comfortable and stretchy to wear, so instead of my usual jeans, I opted for my MET Black Faux Leather skinny jeans. You would be surprised that these are actually really stretchy and comfortable, all while keeping you warm, so they are a great option for walking! You wouldn’t think it though would you? I paired them with my older Zara burgundy top and then layered my Topshop leopard print scarf around my shoulders and neck. I didn’t want to wear this scarf the usual way, I wanted the print to show a lot more which is why I wore it this way instead. I tucked my leather jeans into my trusty Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Black as I can’t be without these! You never know when it might rain, get muddy or dirty!

For my accessories, I wore one of my Autumn hats in Aubergine, which I got a while back and had my hair in a side braid to go with it. I love the combination of hats like this and braids, it always ends up looking so polished in my opinion! I then wore my Butler & Wilson Eye ring and gunmetal bracelet to finish it off. You wouldn’t usually think a pair of wellies and leather pants would go together very well at all, but I love experimenting with new ideas (like other fashion bloggers) and I actually loved how this turned out! Speaking of wellies though, I do have a brand new pair in the mail! The Cocoa brown colour and I can’t wait to get them! What do you think of this outfit? Comment and let me know!

Quite easily your best outfit so far Lorna! The way the leather and wellies look together is fantastic! Plus the purple top and hat compliment the dark coloring. I also love how the Hunter logo pops right out with its red and white border. In a blog where everything you wear you look fabulous in, this outdoes all others before it! Also when can we see the Joules wellies again? You are one of the few that pull them off so well!

Thank you so much Eric! That’s really kind of you! Probably when it rains more and gets cooler, I will wear them, but as the ribbons are pink, I tend to not wear too much pink anymore, ha ha.

Understandable. The one downside that seperates Hunter from Joules is that Joules isnt very wearable in extreme weather. Theyre more of a fashionable welly than a durbale one. Hence why i collect Hunter wellies and not Joules.

Yeah, they are a fashion statement! I also like the same colour all over, where as the Joules pair has a lighter brown sole instead of being all black!

Yes the one flat color definitely looks great! It looks really great on the white and red ones. They really pop with color without getting too convoluted in other bright colors. I had considered the color block ones but nothing beats the originals.

Burgundy and leopard must be one of my favorite combinations for fall, I’m looking forward to wear it myself again (though I’m still holding on to summer for just a little while). I actually never wear wellies, but you make them look very fashionable. I just bought a black pair (very similar to the ones you are wearing) for a Belgian festival last weekend, because it was extremely rainy. They really helped me survive the weekend. I might wear them again on a normal day out, your outfit is very inspirational!

You look absolutely stunning! I must say that of all the outfits, and I have quickly scanned through most of them going all the way back to 2010, since stumbling across this website via complete fluke 3-4 days ago, while searching for something else, that this is by far my most favourite one (to date), although I really liked the outfit you were wearing in your sept. 8th post as well.

I agree, as some others have mentioned, I just love the hat, leopard scarf and the burgundy/black combination, not to mention the way you styled your hair in this shot as well. 🙂

Hi Scott! Thank you so much, I’m really glad you like my blog so much! A lot of people liked the combination of the leather, wellies and burgundy with leopard. I’m really glad that I put it together! A lot of my older photos are embarrassing from way back then in 2010 or 2011, I didn’t really know what I was doing, ha ha. I’m really pleased you like my blog so much though and I hope you will continue to check it out as I post multiple times a week 🙂

        Hi Lorna,

Thank you for the reply, that was very kind of you. 🙂

As for your older photos, I actually find it quite interesting to notice just how much your style has evolved over the years, and that there is nothing to be embarrassed about at all, as it is perfectly natural for something to look unpolished (in comparison), as any kinks and choice of direction, are still being sorted out at that stage, and besides, those older photos also carry their own charm. 🙂

Finally, I will no doubt, continue to check out your blog as you continue to post. 🙂
