50 Shades Of Blue Denim

Well, not quite 50, but at least 6… Since denim is pretty much what I’m known for, I thought it was about time that I incorporated a major denim look on my blog. I had been toying with the idea of going for multiple shades and pieces in one outfit then finishing it with other blue pieces to make it really denim inspired, so this is what I came up with. I wore this look to town on Saturday actually when I went out with my boyfriend to get something to eat and do a spot of window shopping. So many people think that mixing multiple pieces of denim together is a big no no, but to me, it’s a huge yes. I think it can look really stylish and put together when done right! I know some other fashion bloggers would agree too!

For my outfit, I started out with my James Jeans Twiggy Dancer jeans as I wanted a really nice dark blue. These are actually amazing. I’ve written a bit about them over on The Jeans Blog and featured an interview I did with the brand about them, but they are super stretchy like leggings and don’t feature outerseams, but they still have the flattering fit and capabilities of jeans. You should definitely check them out! I paired them with my oversized dark blue denim Topshop shirt and then tied a lighter blue Topshop denim shirt around my waist. Mixing three shades together from dark to light and I love how the contrast came out! I then chose my Cambridge Satchel Mini in Bellflower Blue to add another blue tone, a Crew bangle with navy in it and a Topshop topaz blue ring. Finally, I finished my outfit with my Topshop Sandylion Slippers in Burgundy. I was going to go for blue shoes, but decided I would prefer another colour just to break it all up.

Since we are speaking about denim though, I wanted to tell you about a really cool and exclusive contest/giveaway that I published on The Jeans Blog last night! It’s with one of my favourite brands, Hudson Jeans, and you can WIN a FREE pair of their Collin or Nico skinny jeans! Any pair your want! It’s super easy to enter and really quick, it just involves Twitter, so head on over to the site to see how to enter by clicking here. So, what do you think of my multiple denim look? Do you like it? I would love to know your thoughts!
