The Peacock Plaid Blazer With Burgundy Trousers

Peacock inspired plaid blazer with burgundy trousers

I’m feeling very Autumn inspired lately. It might be the gloomy weather that we keep having with endless amounts of rain and freezing cold temperatures, but I’m definitely feeling it. It’s cooled down enough now that I’m wearing jeans, trousers and jackets again and I am pretty excited about it since Autumn is my favourite season of the year. I just love everything about it, not just the gorgeous warm hues from the leaves and the crisp air, but the fashion. I love layering and this time of year always brings new gorgeous coats, knitwear, boots and more that I would love to add to my closet!

Speaking of Autumn outfits though, this one is right on key! I paired my River Island peacock coloured blazer (buy a similar blazer here) with a pair of Paige Denim burgundy trousers (buy a similar pair here). I actually purchased this blazer on sale a few months ago and I got it for a steal! It was £60 reduced to £20 and I knew it would be something I loved. I didn’t get the trousers to match it as I thought that might be too much plaid, but it goes with most of my jeans. If that wasn’t a good enough deal on its own, I picked up these Paige Denim trouser in TK Maxx a couple of months ago too for only… £10! Considering their retail price was around £200 and these were knocked down in the sale to just £10, I couldn’t pass them up. I had seen them in there a couple of times with a higher price point, and then when I spotted them for that, I took them! They are a little bigger than my usual size, but sometimes I think it’s nice for trousers to have a looseness to them.

To make a neutral base for the strongly coloured blazer and trousers, I went with my ASOS white cami top and then added a little more colour and print with my Topshop snake print heels. The colour on the snake print is almost identical to that of my blazer, so even though the prints were different, the colours make both pieces harmonious in my opinion. It just jazzes things up a little more than a pair of black heels would. As I usually pair burgundy with black or white, I actually think it goes really nicely with these deeper shades of blue and green too! What do you think of my Autumn inspired outfit? Comment and let me know!

I’m not yet convinced that it’s autumn. I think it might just be a typical rainy bank holiday weekend. 😉 Though having said that I did wear brown today… 😉

Wow! You did some amazing bargain hunting with those reductions.

This combination comes together very nicely. Those trousers are so very striking and, naturally, I like the blazer as you can’t go wrong with a bit of green. Both pieces have such a lovely shape to them too. 🙂

Thanks so much Steven 🙂 Glad you like it 🙂 And I was hoping that it’s not Autumn, but I have noticed many leaves dropping already and there is even conkers on the trees and we all know what that means! Ha ha! I wouldn’t mind a bit of warm weather though to round out Summer 🙂

Yeah, a half eaten conker got thrown out of a tree at me in the park the other day. Squirrel thuggery! 🙂

You always look so beautiful! And wow, the prices you were able to find, from £200 to £10??? Inpressive! I hope you have a very nice week!
