Hunter Norris Field Boots In Loganberry Outfit

I know it’s been a long time coming for those of you who love wellies, but I finally have a new post to share with you and it’s these new and very gorgeous Hunter Norris Field Boots in Loganberry which I got while working with Ardmoor. How amazing are they? I have a great collection of wellies already, but one pair I was always missing and looking out for was the Original Tall in Ruby Gloss, so when I saw these Hunter Norris Field Boots in Loganberry, my jaw dropped open.

The colour is so beautiful, it’s like a magenta purple with fuchsia undertones and a stunning metallic sheen. I can’t even explain how amazing these are! I love the little pink fabric tab as well as it contrasts the boot colour, plus the Norris is a walking boot which means they are much more comfortable than the Original Tall as well, making them even better for me. One word for these is ‘obsessed’ and I think they are my new favourites! Plus, if you want your own pair, you can get 10% off with the code LORNA10 at Ardmoor until the end of the year, so don’t miss out! This works on any pair of wellies, so guys, it’s for you too!

If you want to know what I wore my new wellies with, it was my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Jeans in Black and my Bishop & Young Grey Sleeveless Top. I chose my M&Co Grey Over The Knee Socks as well since I have always loved the grey socks and purple wellingtons look! I then wanted to really add more of a pop of colour, so I chose my Cambridge Satchel in Magenta to match. Since it’s the end of summer as well, it made sense to shoot this look in the stream near here as it wasn’t raining, but it works because there’s nothing I love more when wearing wellies than splashing around in the water – it’s so much fun! Anyway, let me know what you think of my outfit and if you like my new Hunter wellies! If you do, don’t forget you can get the same pair at Ardmoor too!

Oh, just the word loganberry makes my mouth water! We had a huge loganberry bush on the farm when I was a kid and I can remember all the tasty pies my mum made using the berries… 😀

The wellies are such a glorious colour. I don’t know if I’ve ever told you that purple is my second favourite colour? Well it is, so I think these boots are magnificent! I can easily see why they’re your new favourites. 😀

This is such a fun set of photos. I love that you’ve chosen a satchel for this shoot – it gives you the air of a naughty child splashing around on your way to school. 🙂

Oh that sounds delicious! I’ve never actually tried loganberry before, I wasn’t even sure if it was a real berry until I looked it up, ha ha. Purple is an amazing colour though, it’s Adam’s favourite and one of mine, so I’m glad you like it too! I didn’t think of that element with the satchel though, that’s cool, I agree 🙂

I loved them with the bag/satchel and the lovely top – the whole outfit is very lovely and the pictures are really gorgeous! Hope you have a very nice day and rest of the week!

Lorna, every time I see posts of Wellies…(we call them rain boots here… I like the name wellies) … I wish that I was able to wear them… unfortunately I can’t due to having two different calf sizes… you are so right, these a gorgeous color… I can see why you love them so much, they are really pretty xox

Oh that’s such a shame! How noticeable is the difference in calf sizes? I know Hunter do various widths for their wellies. I know most people have one leg and foot bigger than the other, but maybe one day you can find a pair! I hope!

    Dear Lorna,

This post is just wonderful. I like your outfit and I love your boots (and the way you use them). I agree with you : I have a pair of Original Tall and a pair of Norris Field, the later are much more comfortable. It will be hard not to wear them every day this fall/winter (as my girlfriend has a pair of Original Tall too).

I am thinking of trying to find a river to splash around too 😉 I hope to see your wellies in action again here.

    Cheers !

Thanks, Miguel 🙂 You should definitely find some water to splash around in, that will be fun! Yeah, it’s surprising how much more comfortable the Norris is with the extra padding isn’t it? Really love them! Don’t worry, as the weather cools down and we get tonnes of rain, you will definitely be seeing them again! Now that one rhymed, ha ha!

No I wouldn’t do that, I don’t want water inside my boots, flooding as they call it isn’t something I’m into lol, I like wellies for practicality and fashion only.

I did not know the word but I definitely don’t want to flood them. I am afraid it could damage them. I will stay with splashing around. I guess the weather could allow me to do that anywhere !

It can! It’s fun just to splash in a bit of water. The deepest I go is about 3/4 up the wellies to be honest, I don’t want them to risk getting wet in any way!

                      September 2, 2016 / 3:56 pm

Ah that’s what I had in mind. I think it is more that what we see on your pictures. 😉 Looked like 1/4. I thought about going just under the label with the brand. Don’t know why, that + truly splashing with few water seems really funny.

The magenta is so nice with the grey too – I’ve been wearing that combination a lot lately.

Hi Lorna! I just came across your blog once again and saw this really nice post. You really look great and your wellies are so beautiful , such a nice color- as you are always looking greant wearing your wellies! If I might ask you a question about these Norris Field type of wellies: Is there a great difference to the original tall ones and if yes wich one? Is the quality any better? Greetings!

Hi Thomas, thank you! So glad you like them! There is a different in comfort level, they have more padding on the sole so they are very springy and comfortable since they are made for walking. I find the Original Tall can be quite hard and uncomfortable after periods of time. I definitely love these for comfort! Quality wise is the same though!

Hi Lorna! Thanks for your informations! These are really interesting, as I am looking for fashionable and comfortable wellies for me and my wife to use them for longer walks in the countryside and on rainy days in the city too. So you would recommend the norris field? Do you think, that these kind of wellies (in more neutral colors like black or blue) can be worn and fashionable for men too? Do you know men how are wearing wellies like hunters in their leisure time or on the streets while shopping or going to work? Does your boyfriend wear wellies too or would you like him to do it or not?

Hi Thomas, wow that’s a lot of questions! Ha ha. I live in the countryside so I see many men wearing wellingtons, usually for dog walking or farming duties, but I’ve seen a few wear them to town too. I definitely think they can be fashionable if you wear them right, they aren’t just for women. I definitely recommend the Norris Field, Hunter made them specifically for walking, so they are very comfortable. My fiance doesn’t wear wellies, he’s from the city so he doesn’t have a need for them.

Hi Lorna! Thank you very much for your answers to my many question (I apologize for that! 😉 and sorry for my late reaction! So the Hunter Norris Field seem to be the boots we are looking for. What would be “wearing them right” in matters of Hunter Boots and men? Do you have any suggestions? Oh, and do you have a tip how to get not-skinny Jeans tucked into boots well? I think skinnies are not the right kind of Pants for me, so I prefer straight cut ones (relatively thight to the thights and a little wider below) or well fittig cords. What a pity, that your fiance does not wear hunter boots too. I thought, he attends you out in the countryside for taking pictures. I hope that you don’t have your wanlks in the countryside all alone! 🙂
            Greetings Thomas

Tuck the jeans into your socks, then put the boots on. You need to wrap them and fold them around your legs then put your sock over to keep it in place, that works really well 🙂 Wearing them right would be with nice jeans and a jacket that matches. I think jeans are always a good option to pair wellies with 🙂

Hi Lorna! Thank you so much for your very helpful tips! Putting the socks first over the pants seem to be a very good idea and to work very well! I couldn’t resist going to a shoe store and trying it out with a normal pair of wellies ;-). How good to be able an expert like you! Do you use this trick too when wearing boots and wellies? Is this very common to do so or did you get this as an insider tip? (Or am I just so uninformed? 🙂 So I will have a look for a jacket (maybe a classy one with checks) or a short coat in a matching color. Or would a blue wax jacket a good idea? So I tend to order the boots in blue. This seems to me a more stylish an elegant colour than green which is more countrystyle I think. Then Jeans in blue, black or cream/beige can be an option. Thank you again and greetings, Thomas

Hi Thomas, yes this is used when putting boots on as well, not just wellies. It’s quite a common tip actually, but it’s usually only something women do as much don’t often wear boots, so that might be why you haven’t heard of it before. It definitely works though 🙂

I think navy wellies is good, light to mid blue for jeans and then you can have a navy waxed jacket if you like, or something else. Might be a good look for you!

Hi Lorna! Ok, thank you for your consulting – so it seems that I’m on the right way for wearing wellies in a fashionable way 😉 Sorry for my poor english, but did I unterstand you correctly, that the tip with the Pants in the socks is only used by women who don’t wear boots often? Why do you think so? I was quiet excited about the way it worked. This allows to wear different cut styles of pants into boots, not only skinnies, isn’t it? This should be interesting or useful especially for women who are wearing boots over pants, or am I wrong? Knowing this tip I’m thinking that wearing kneehigh boots with pants tucked in for men sholdn’t be a problem too, because wearing skinny jeans is not a must. But finding nice kneehigh or ridingstyle boots for men will be hard to find I think …
                    Greetings, Thomas

Hi, no that was a misunderstanding. Women do it all the time. They tuck their jeans into socks most times they wear boots. When I said it wasn’t so popular, I meant with men. Not many men wear long/tall boots so they don’t need to tuck their jeans into their socks to fit into the boots as they don’t wear them. It’s a great tip so I’m happy you like the idea! 🙂

Your boots are gorgeous! I have been trying to find the perfect pair of Hunter wellies, but I have larger calves which makes it difficult. The originals are a tad too tall and too narrow around my calf and the Huntress style, made for thicker calves, seems to be discontinued. Are the Norris Field boots any wider around the calves than the original? Are they shorter or the same height as the originals? Any information would be so helpful. Thank you!!

Hi! Thank you, so happy you like them! They are only about half a cm wider around the top, and no taller. Have you tried the adjustable ones? Those are made for much bigger calves and come in so many colours!

Hi Leeanne! Sorry for interfering, but I just read your question. If you have a look on the webpage of hunterboots.com you will see, that the Huntress model is still available, but only in three cloros.
      Greetings, Thomas
