My Christmas Week

It’s crazy to think that Christmas was 3 days ago now and it’s all over. In a way I am relieved as it’s an extremely stressful time and I end up getting quite bored, but I’m sad that the decorations and festive atmosphere will start to go as that’s my favourite thing! I hope you all had a good Christmas though? I generally don’t like to just celebrate the day as it’s quiet and not much different to usual, but I love everything else in the lead up to it, so I thought I would share my Christmas week with you in pictures.

Adam and I headed to Swindon Designer Outlet again as the reindeer were going to be there, just like last year. I was so excited as I adore reindeer and this time one of them was beating up a Christmas tree to rub her antlers on, which I have on video (below). I also saw baby 18 month old reindeer in Birmingham when I travelled up to Adam’s a couple of weeks ago, so it’s been reindeer filled! The plans of ice skating never happened as it was sold out, and due to illness not many other things were able to happen either, so I’ve shared a lot of decorations, my Christmas dinner made by my mum, as well as the festive atmosphere of my bedroom. I don’t usually decorate my bedroom for Christmas, but this year I made sure to with my light up cactus, DIY light jars, reindeer statues, flashing light up canvases and other decorations. I love it!

What about the presents? I generally don’t like to share them too much on my blog as I find presents at Christmas personal, but I’ve shared just two here. Adam got me a Disney Art of Belle Beauty And The Beast Snow Globe, which lights up and plays ‘Something There That Wasn’t There Before’ and it’s perfect. I chose it myself so I knew I was getting it, but it’s sitting proudly on my bedside desk. He also got me as a surprise a Captain America Christmas Jumper! So cool! And he had a chocolate slab made with a Celine bag drawn on it, which was perfect. I mostly received money from family, but I also got a few things like an ornament, skin care, chocolate, sleep wear, make up etc. from my mum, which is always useful. I hope you enjoyed it and had a lovely break! Lorna xx.

I loved the lights jumper! I would have loved it too! The reindeer is so sweet, so nice that you went to see it! Loved the pictures you showed here! You look extra beautiful with Father Christmas, very natural and happy! So nice presents you got, the Disney globe sounds great, but I really really loved the Captain America jumper! True, I love Christmas decoration… and now, in some days, all will be gone 🙁 I have already started to take some off 🙁 Hope you have a very great day and a lovely New Year, dear Lorna!

Thank you, Denise! So happy you like everything 🙂 And don’t take them down yet, you can keep them up longer, a lot of people do until the end of January, I know a lot around here do that, and I’m keeping my lights up for ages, ha ha 🙂

They are pretty hard to find actually, you have to travel and go on a scout for them, ha ha. Hopefully next year!

It goes by so fast ! I cannot believe it.
Well, you can always leave the decor and make it last. I will leave it up until the end of January.

Christmas can be difficult to deal with… I did have a nice one this year as I spent most of it preparing for guests, it helped to keep me busy and I enjoyed having the company… it made the day less boring… It has been 5 years since I actually enjoyed the season… I am happy that I had a pretty good one this year.

I really like the snow globe, it is so sweet… I hope you feel better health wise, it is difficult to enjoy anything when you don’t feel well … I hope the upcoming year is a good one for you Lorna xox

I wonder if you had to go the mens’ section for your light up jumper because they think women are too sensible to wear such things? 😉 LOL It’s great!

All those reindeer are so cute! What sweet faces they have! 😀

I had a nice Christmas with the family. 7 of us together covering 4 generations. 😀

I’m going to guess that’s probably correct, ha ha. I never even looked in the women’s section actually, but maybe they had posh fair isle prints and pearls! 😀

Merry Christmas to you Lorna! Your pictures are terrific, I love the reindeer- I drive by a reindeer farm every day on my way to and from work so I have a soft spot for them. Your light up “jumper” (love saying that, so very British) is terrific too. Cheers to you and yours!

I actually don’t know as it was a surprise present from Adam, so I will have to ask him. I think online somewhere though! Your purchases sound great!

Ok, well it is so cool. I can send you pictures via e-mail if you want or weblinks of where I bought them.

I love the decorations in your room Lorna, they’re so festive and cheerful. The snow globe is so beautiful. It was thoughtful of Adam to get it for you, under your careful instructions. 🙂 The reindeer are lovely and it must have been great seeing them in person. I adore your light-up jumper, and the Captain America jumper is amazing too and looks fabulous on you!

I’m sorry to hear that illness affected some of your Christmas plans. I sincerely hope you’re better now. I wish and hope that you’ll have good health, and go from strength to strength in 2017.

    Lots of love Saba xx
