Alpha Industries Dusty Pink MA1 Bomber Jacket Review Outfit

Alpha Industries MA1 Dusty Pink Bomber Jacket Review With Nike Free Running Trainers

Sometimes, things just fall into your lap without you even expecting it, and that’s what I can safely say happened with this Alpha Industries MA1 59 Bomber Jacket in Dusty Pink (buy it here or here). Adam had been in love with the Alpha Industries bomber jackets for quite sometime, while I never really paid them much attention. I had of course seen them on celebs like Will.I.Am, and even on The Voice when that was on, always recognised by the red fabric tab that says ‘Remove Before Flight’. I think my reason for not giving them much interest was because I already had a few bomber jackets and with the warmer weather coming up, I was focused purely on other items that I wanted to buy.

All of that changed entirely however when Adam purchased this Alpha Industries MA1 59 Bomber Jacket in Dusty Pink for himself. He chose the women’s version because it always gives him a slimmer fit, but the size Small, which I have here, was too small for him and he had to re-order it in a Medium. He was at his house when this bomber jacket arrived though and had sent me photos for my opinion, and when I looked at them, my eyes nearly popped out at the colour. All I could see was one of the most pretty, mature shades of pink I had seen in a long time and I fell in love with it. So much so that I told him not to return it just yet and to bring it with him to mine on the weekend so I could try it on myself. As luck would have it, the size Small actually fitted me perfectly (I’m a UK 8 for reference) and was incredibly flattering too. No more needed to be said, I gave Adam the money for it since he wouldn’t be exchanging it, instead ordering a new one, and the rest was history.

I thought I would do a review on the Alpha Industries Bomber Jacket purely because there’s hardly any online at all, especially not in this colour. I keep wanting to call it Dusty Rose rather than Dusty Pink, just because it reminds me so much of that colour. It’s like an intense, warm, floral shade of pink, with purple undertones to it, so it’s very flattering and extremely grown up. It’s not one of those pinks that looks immature or like it’s just for children. I call it more of an adult pink.

As Alpha Industries are a brand that made bomber jackets for pilots during the war, they’re very much authentic with their details. They have all the little pockets and zippers in the right places, their logo and zipper pulls are really identifiable, plus they have their signature bright orange lining, which is padded, for extra warmth. They do make these bomber jackets without the lining too, but I wanted one with it as it’s usually cold here in England. The length isn’t too long or short, plus the sleeves are ideal, and it does up perfectly with no pulling or bagginess. Plus, one of the added bonuses for me is the fact that it’s waterproof! I’m not sure to what extent as I haven’t been in a downpour with it, but water runs off and doesn’t absorb into the fabric, which is great.

So anyway, this was the first time I wore my Alpha Industries MA1 59 Bomber Jacket in Dusty Pink and I decided to pair it with my GRLFRND Candice Skinny Jeans in Black, a simple white t-shirt, and my new Nike Free Running Women’s Running Shoes in Black and White. I got these trainers from Millets Sports and I really love how comfortable they are. I recently shared my Nike Roshe Beige Trainers with you in one of my outfits and I have slightly become addicted to the brands footwear because of the comfort. I was always a New Balance or Adidas girl, but that’s all changed now. These are springy, comfortable, soft, classic and sleek, so they go with all my outfits and make walking a dream. I love the elasticated lace holes, they really help with the movement of the shoe and your foot. I did try a size UK 6 at first as my other pair are that size, but I needed to size up to a 6.5 as they were originally too small.

You can see all of the photos below which include the details of the jacket and my shoes, plus my entire outfit, so I would of course love to know what you think of it and whether or not you have tried Alpha Industries before? If you weren’t familiar with the brand before, you can guarantee you will be seeing bomber jackets with their famous red tab on the arm a lot now. It’s really noticeable once you know! Happy weekend everyone! Lorna xx.

What I Was Wearing:
Jacket – Alpha Industries (also here)

Thanks for this interesting post! I thought already a few times about if I should be such an Alpha Industries Bomber Jacket … and thanks to you now I know it is a try worth! It makes me smile that originally your partner bought this jacket for him 🙂 But I agree the pink is fantastic and suits you absolutely well!

This jacket look pretty good. It does have a little something different from all the other bomber jacket out there. The color is pretty. Nice review!

That is such an unusual shade of pink. For once, I think the name of the colour actually matches reality. It’s also a pink that on the way to being another colour… if that makes any sense? 😀 Probably not… I like it very much anyway. I think black and pink always work nicely together so the whole outfit looks terrific.

My only negative on this outfit is actually the red tab thing… It looks like the kind of thing that could easily become an irritant to the wear – either by getting in the way or getting caught on things… But that probably just the my inner Mr. Clumsy talking… 😉

    Great outfit anyway, Lorna. 😀

I agree that it’s borderline pink, on its way into purple I think, or some shade around there. Maybe on its way into the colour puse? I love it though and I think the name is really fitting too. I love the powdered, dusty element. I wasn’t sure on the red tab either at first, although it is removable. It was what put me off the jackets originally, but I am very used to it now and it doesn’t get in the way, plus it’s their signature so it would seem silly to buy one of their jackets and take off the tab that makes it them, ha ha 😀

I must agree, this is a lovely pink colour, one that doesn’t come often. I really like the fit too and how it sits perfectly just above the hips.

I adore this jacket Lorna, and the dusty rose shade is simply lovely! I wasn’t aware of this brand until now, but I love the fitting of the jacket and especially the authentic details. It’s great that you discovered the jacket purely by chance, and fell in love with it! Thank you for sharing your review. I also love the images and the backdrop you’ve used.

    Lots of love Saba xx
