Do you remember these shoes? I got these Valentino Rockstud Heels in Red and Black in January 2016 after lusting over them for so many months. It turns out though that due to the slingback and the really high, thin heel, I ended up not wearing them much at all, which was a shame. Since these shoes are literally a work of art though and are just amazing to look at, I decided that I need to wear them a lot more than I do and learn to walk in them properly. That is how this outfit came about!
I’m very much into quirky shirts and skinny jeans, but it’s been a long while since I actually wore a blazer and now that the weather is cooling down, I can bring all my jackets out! This beautiful blazer is the REISS Venn Black Blazer (I also own it in white) which has a boyfriend, slouchy fit to it and an open front with no button fastening – making it more of a casual blazer. Given that it’s black though, it really does give it a sense of elegance and class so it’s suitable for any black tie functions, or dinners out. I layered it over the REISS Fi Gold Silk Tank Top to keep it smart, but also because the gold plays off the studs on the shoes and the buckle of my Gucci GG Belt, which I thought just tied everything together nicely and finished off my GRLFRND Candice Skinny Jeans perfectly.
There’s something about these jeans that I just can’t get enough of, as I’m sure you are noticing. They’re so comfortable and flattering, but the rips at the knees make them suitable for day time and casual wear, while glamming them up makes them perfect for elegant looks. Talk about versatile, right? Now to finish this all off, I added in my Lulu Guinness Powder Lips Clutch to complement the red tones of my Rockstud shoes and to just bring a little more colour to the outfit. So all in all, it’s a more dressed up outfit that I really like. It’s nice to be able to wear layers again! What do you think of the outfit? Comment and let me know!
On a side note – I’ve got a little bit of a health update (after this post). My gastroenterologist found bacteria in my small intestine that wasn’t supposed to be there. So sort of like SIBO, but not the bacteria that produced hydrogen, these produce methane. This should be the cause of the extreme bloating and the reactions to certain foods, so I’m about to start antibiotics today (Rifaximin) which I have to take for 2 weeks and that should hopefully get rid of everything in my intestine. I’m going to make sure I am only putting in nutritious foods now to keep my good bacteria up, and of course keep taking my Symprove to put all the good back in. After the 2 weeks, I will let you know how I am getting on! Lorna xx.
What I Was Wearing:

Top – REISS

Belt – Gucci

These are beautiful shoes so it’s great you got them out again to give them aware. Perfect accessories with your clutch and the black and gold outfit too.
It’s funny, I’m looking forward to blazer season, but only because it’s warming up here and I can shed all the winter layers, while for you it’s cooling down! I think our springs and autumns are similar temperature wise 🙂
Hope you are having a great weekend 🙂

Rockstuds are really classic and never out of fashion. I´ve thinking about buying some Rockstuds but the selection of types and colors is so amazing, that it is really hard to decide for me. I love the blazer and the top. They are both very chic :-*
