My 2018 Ultimate Designer Wish List

I thought I would do a different type of post today and share with you the items I am in love with, but in a different way to my Currently Craving Wish Lists as this contains the pieces I definitely want. I managed to tick a few things off my wish list last year like the Gucci GG Belt and Princetown Loafers, as well as the Gucci Marmont Belt Bag and the Dionysus Shoulder Bag. Yep, I did go a little crazy over Gucci last year, but so did everyone. They were literally the brand to watch! My tastes this year though so far are much more varied when it comes to brands and items, so I’m looking at Celine, Boda Skins, Balenciaga, Mansur Gavriel, Chanel, Chloe and even Golden Goose. Of course Stuart Weitzman is always on my list, but not included in this wish list for 2018 as I’m uncertain on the fit compared to the custom size boots I usually get. Anyway, check out what’s on my 2018 ultimate designer wish list below!

Chanel Trendy Small CC Bag in Beige

I recently fell in love with this Chanel Trendy CC Small Bag in Beige. I’ve seen it in Black numerous times and it’s equally as beautiful, but there’s something about the versatility of the Beige that I am head over heels in love with. The whole shape of the Trendy, even the size of it, and the little cross body strap that drops inside so you can have it as a tote is an ingenious idea. There’s nothing I don’t like about it, except the price tag. I was stunned when I saw that it costs around £3770. That to me is an instant no right away as it’s un-affordable unfortunately. It’s definitely stunning and a complete dream bag in every way, but with a price tag that high and the worry of scratching it or getting dye on it from my jeans, it’s not ideal, so as of now, it’s staying as a wish. I’ve watched so many Youtube videos though of reviews on the Chanel Trendy CC Small (check out this one) so it’s firmly cemented a place in my heart right now. I just absolutely love it with a passion! I know it’s really hard to track down though in the boutiques anyway, but that always makes me want it more, ha ha.

Celine Micro Belt Bag in Clay

My Celine Nano Luggage in Dune might be my favourite designer bag that I own. I wear it often and it’s so durable and beautiful that it’s definitely a bag you can take around without worrying about damaging it. I’ve loved Celine for years and have always been a fan of their Belt Bag design, so when I found out last year they now do the Micro Belt Bag, I was excited! It’s just an inch longer in width than my Nano Luggage, so it’s ideal. It acts as a tote with a top handle or it has a shoulder strap, and it’s in this beautiful Clay shade that I love. It looks really hard wearing and durable too, plus it comes with much less of a price tag than the Chanel, in fact it’s cheaper by over 60% which is much better to me. I’ve allowed myself one designer bag for this year and I’m really beginning to think the Celine Micro Belt Bag might be it! It involves travelling to London for though as it’s not available online, so we will see if I can save up enough this year! Check it out properly here.

Boda Skins Kay Michaels Leather Jacket in Black

A Boda Skins Kay Michaels Leather Jacket has actually been on my wish list since about 2013 or so. I used to love their colours and designs, but they were always pretty expensive and I had Allsaints leather jackets instead. I find myself admiring them and looking at them more and more though and since Adam got one last year, it’s made me want one even more. Back in December when they had their sale, I ended up getting the brown tan version for a steal of a price and I am in love with it. I’ve not been able to wear it out yet as the weather hasn’t allowed it unfortunately, but I can’t wait to share it. I’m regularly checking eBay for a used black version though as it’s one I’ve wanted for so long and I know I love the style of jacket. (Look how gorgeous it looks – click here!). I am definitely 100% sure though that 2018 will tick this one off my wish list! Click here to see it properly.

Balenciaga Race Runners in Black

Since I purchased my Balenciaga Race Runners in Prune Purple in the Autumn last year, I’ve not stopped thinking about the Black version. Adam has them in Black as he got them shortly after my pair and seeing how versatile they have been for him and how pretty they are at the same time has left me longing after something more classic. I just know the Black would be great for wearing with my leather jackets (already thinking of the Boda Skins) and they would go with so much! I love my Prune ones for style and comfort, but the metallic purple isn’t that easy to style. The Black are pretty much sold out in my size 7 mostly everywhere now, but I can’t afford them at the moment anyway so we will have to see how this goes! I know shops are due to restock them in a couple of months so I hope they get these ones back in. Aren’t they pretty?

Mansur Gavriel Mini Mini Sun Bag in Tan

I’ve got a Mansur Gavriel Small Bucket Bag in a chestnut brown suede colour (see here), but I’ve often had my eye on their Sun Bag design. This one is the Mini Mini Sun which is the smallest size they do – isn’t it adorable? Compared to Chanel and Celine, it’s much more affordable as it’s less than £400 in price in the Tan Brown colour. The shape of it and the bow on the front is something I’m really attracted to and I realised I don’t really have a bag this colour in my designer bag collection, especially not in this shape either, so it would be well used. I’ve been contemplating it since Christmas but there’s something that’s just not letting me buy it at the moment. That’s the money and the fact that it’s only January and I need to space out my purchases. It comes in many colours and I even love the Blush Pink as well, but I was trying to be practical and not opt for bright colours this year as it’s not a sensible choice for choosing staples! Check it out here.

Chloe Susannah Boots in Greige

I’m a huge fan of Chloe and I even own the Chloe Susanna Boots in Burgundy Velvet as I bought them back in 2016. They’re literally my favourite pair of boots, but because they’re so gorgeous and made from velvet, I rarely wear them as I’m terrified of damaging them. It rains so much here that any spots on them and I’d fear they would be ruined. I really need to make a change with that! Hopefully as the weather warms up, I wont be as afraid. With that in mind though, I thought the Greige (grey/beige) option was ideal. They’re made from suede and look a bit more durable than the velvet boots. I can imagine these would go with everything as a taupe shade like that is so versatile. The biggest issue with these Susanna boots though is the price. This pair is £790 and unless I’m getting a huge discount (like I did with my others) then I wont be buying them. They’re on my list though as I’ve liked them since September last year, they’re just too expensive and I don’t know if I’d wear them as much as I’d like as they’re quite a statement. What’s your opinion? See them on My Theresa here.

Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers

Then lastly, even though these are in no particular order, it’s a pair of Golden Goose Sneakers. I’ve liked the brand for some time now actually and since Adam got a pair a couple of months ago, I’ve seen how useful they are. Golden Goose are quite similar to Converse in design, but they’re a designer brand and have a price tag of around £300+. What I love about them though is that they’re made to look dirty and used, which you might think is crazy when paying that amount for trainers, but it’s so useful for the horrible British weather. They’re the trainers Adam reaches for in the rain as they are already used looking, so it doesn’t matter if they get wet or have some other stains as it’s all part of the design. The good thing is the fact that they’re quite popular and people know the brand well, so they will know that’s how they come and they’re not just filthy. I’ve been saving up some vouchers to get a pair, so they will definitely be a 2018 purchase, I’m just not sure on what colour combination I want as there’s so many. I do love the gold and silver above though – it’s pretty.

– So that’s my designer 2018 wish list. If I had to pick just one item that I know I will be getting this year, it would be the Celine Micro Belt Bag in Clay. That’s a definite – as long as I can sensibly afford it. The other two would be the Balenciaga Race Runners and the Boda Skins Leather Jacket. These 3 are the items I want the most this year. Fingers crossed I can make it happen! We will see! Which item out of the 7 here do you like the most and think I should get? Lorna xx.

To my eyes the two nicest items in this selection are the jacket and the boots – probably the boots just edge it. 🙂

The idea that anyone would happily pay £3,770 for a bag just stuns me… That’s within £200 of what I pay in rent for my flat per year. LOL 😀

Yeah, I think everyone’s values are different. If someone spends around £3000 on a computer or spends about £20,000 on a car, that usually stuns me too. Or if someone spends around £2000 on a TV. But then someone would be horrified at the cost of some clothes, which is usually why I never delve into costs too much as it’s always person dependent. I do consider that Chanel bag to be incredibly expensive, but it’s a far cry from rent though round here. Your rent is crazy cheap! Here it’s hard to find anything less than £800 a month! That’s cheap lol.

      • January 17, 2018 / 10:18 pm

Well I’m only in a one bedroom flat. 🙂 Just four rooms in total, it’s the bottom floor of a terrace house that’s been converted into 2 flats… so even for around here it’s fairly cheap. 🙂

You’re right, it’s so different from person to person what we are willing to spend on different things. Just glancing around my living room I can probably see £3,770 worth of Doctor Who DVDs, CDs, books and action figures. LOL Some might think that a bit crazy. 😉

Ha ha! Yeah I would imagine there’s plenty that would think that was crazy as they probably don’t like Dr. Who, so it’s funny how everything is so different 😀

Oh that Chanel is beautiful! I’d have so many more Chanel bags if only they weren’t so expensive, haha! I definitely agree with that Celine being at the top of your wishlist – I could see you wearing it, it’s very you! 🙂

Still lots of time for sales given we are only at the start of the year, so hopefully you are able to get some of the pieces you’re wishing for 🙂

Hope that you are having a good week so far! The weather has been more bearable this week which is nice, not the crazy high temps we had last week!

I know, I would too! I would have quite the collection, not just 2 small ones, ha ha 😀 I think the Celine is very me too, despite it being bigger than I usually go for, I think it’s suited. A lot of these never go in the sale, so I am frequenting eBay a lot!

Our weather has been freezing! Another storm hit us as well, Fionn this time, so it’s been pretty crazy and disrupted so far. Glad it’s better for you! 🙂

All of them are awesome items and I’m sure they are high quality! If I had the money to buy one of these, it would be the Chanel bag because it’s timeless, classic and a great investment in case you ever want to sell in the future when it becomes vintage. The golden sneakers are also super cool! 😉

Yeah, Chanel are great for that. The Trendy isn’t part of their classic collection yet though so I don’t know how well that one holds its price in comparison to the normal flap bags 🙂

This is such an interesting content, wishlist for high end bags and shoes are definitely exciting. I am loving these Trendy Chanel too and Celine belt bag. For the shoes, the Balenciaga runners are the most likely the ones that I will purchase.
