Autumn Country Walks With Glitter Wellies
First of all I wanted to say thank you for all of the love and support you have shown me for my blog’s 8th birthday post that I wrote a few days ago. You are all too kind! If you missed it, you can see it by clicking here. Now getting to this outfit post, I’m sure you can tell we shot these photos back in Autumn and I’ve been keeping them in storage since then as I decided to take a few photos on a whim and didn’t know if I intended to share them or not. Since I’ve pretty much run out of outfits now, they’re being shared! I know a lot of you will appreciate them since you do like my country style outfits, especially if they contain rainwear or wellies, so I hope you like these! Plus, it’s nice to have the jewel tones of Autumn coming to life again before we hit the blush tones of Spring!
For this outfit, I was wearing my Joules Burgundy Gilet (it’s reversible and has a floral inside, but that isn’t really suited to my tastes which is why I wear it on the burgundy side) which I layered over my Joules Chenelle Jumper. I absolutely love these as they’re like a cosy flannel material and so warm! I then wore my Hudson Barbara Skinny Jeans which I have been wearing a lot lately for comfort, and tucked them into my Hunter Starcloud Wellies in Neptune. I’m sure you remember these from my Hunter Glitter Wellies post that I did last year! Aren’t they amazing?
This was actually the first time that I wore these glitter rain boots out because I’ve been keeping them safe. They were literally my dream pair of wellies and I’ve been protecting them, but I now realise that’s probably not a great idea since they can’t really get ruined, so when it rains, I’m planning on wearing them again! I still love them just as much. I think they make a nice update on the classic navy and pair with burgundy really nicely which is why I went for this combination. It’s just something comfortable and casual and what I would wear when heading out into the woodland area or if it’s raining. I can be quite low key most of the time, or what I call off duty, ha ha.
Now I don’t believe that any of these items of clothing are available anymore, but the Mercury Glitter Wellies with the buckles are on sale (click here) if you want to check those out! Have you been wearing your Hunter boots? Speaking of rainwear though, when I featured my Stutterheim Mosebake Rain Coat in Burgundy, I was pleased to see that 5 of you purchased one! How are you getting on with yours? I’d love to know! As always, please do let me know in the comments what you think of the outfit! Lorna xx.
What I Was Wearing:
Gilet – Joules
Jeans – Hudson
Jumper – Joules
Wellies – Hunter

Great outfit post yet again! 🙂 I like how the burgundy and the wash of the jeans compliment each other. You would fit right in with that outfit here in my lil’ country haven of Idaho! 🙂

Oh no, I missed the post, but I told you I am a bit, or a lot, overwhelmed lately, so I apologise, but still, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, dear Lorna, for a superb blog, a great writer, a sensitive girl and may it go on and on for many more years to come! I am very happy that through our blogs we got connected – it’s always so good to have nice surprises, like getting to “know” you! Now the outfit – it’s lovely, and I know you prefer the burgundy side of the Jules waistcoat, but I would love the floral too 🙂 The Hunter wellies are lovely and the photos really nice – you look beautiful and always so elegant! I hope you have a nice and relaxing weekend! Hugs!

Cute outfit! Those definitely are dream wellies! Your rainboot collection boggles my mind- in a good way. I don’t think I know anyone with so many pairs! I only have one pair of rainboots that I haven’t worn in quite a while, but you love “playing” out in the rain and puddles so it makes sense to have so many. I think this pair is one of my favourites I’ve seen on your blog. Cheers!

I love the little touch of sparkle those boots add to your outfit, and I really like the navy and burgundy together! I wore that colour combo a lot last autumn/winter so I’m looking forward to wearing it again when the weather cools 🙂 Still pretty warm here in Brisbane. At least the humidity has gone, haha!
Hope you are having a good weekend 🙂 We are having a quiet one to recover from our busy week!

Those wellies have such a gorgeous shine to them. 🙂 Have you worn those ones out in the snow too? I’m sure they’d look great against the white of snow.
I think the jumper is really pretty too. I like simplicity of those lines (or is it more correct to call them rings?) on the sleeves and how they compliment the wellies. The whole outfit looks really warm and comfortable.
It’s nice to see the relative “warmth” of autumn again… But maybe we have finally turned the corner towards spring now? 😀
Author
I’ve never worn them in the snow actually, when I should as I have some fleece insoles for them for warmth! They’d make great snow boots! 😀 And I have no idea if the weather is turning into Spring lol, the flowers say so, but the snow outside does not, ha ha 😀
The snow has gone up here now. It was bright sunshine all of today… but who knows what comes next? 😀 Yes, next time there’s some deep snow you should certainly snow test those wellies. 🙂

I plan on it!

Dear Lorna! Everything beautyful as always! A great and stylish look for leisuretime and for the countryside, but I think for the city too. These glitter Hunters are very nice and they look adorable on you! I think you won’t do wrong if you let them get in contact with water and dirt – they will gat along with that all 🙂 .

Hi Lorna, love the outfit! How many pairs of wellies do you have now? I love my Hunter boots and have eight pairs which my gf tells me is enough, though I really want to get the tall yellow ones in matte…..
Author
I think it’s around 14 or 15 if I include the little ankle boot style too! Yeah the yellow are nice!
