The Twist Knot Jumper With Velvet Boots
Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you enjoyed your weekend and have had a great start to the week so far. It was finally a bit warmer on the weekend! I’m living in hope now that Spring is finally on its way as the clocks have gone forward, the evenings are longer, the flowers are out, I’ve even seen some blossom! So, with that in mind, I thought it was time to do something a little more warmer weather appropriate, but still transitional and cosy.
This Twist Knot Jumper was chosen from Wearall and I think it’s really unique and fun! I’ve always been into interesting knitwear pieces and do enjoy asymmetrical styles as well as slightly cropped at the front, and this one combines everything into one! It’s ideal for hiding any muffin top with high rise jeans as it’s longer on the sides, but it’s perfect for showing off your belt, like my Gucci GG Belt I have on here, due to the twist at the front. It’s also flattering as it’s off the shoulder and can be worn completely off one side if preferred, so I like how versatile it is. I kept it easy and styled it with my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop Jeans in Black and then added a big pop of colour with these Steve Madden Velvet Boots from Shoeaholics that I had been eyeing for ages.
I’m actually now on the lookout for a classic, cable style knitted jumper in cream or white that’s slightly slouchy as I love that look with jeans, so if anyone knows of any, please do let me know! I’ve literally looked everywhere and it’s made even more difficult by the fact that I’m allergic to wool and mohair so it would need to be cotton or acrylic really. In the meantime though, I’m definitely loving this one and how it just makes a simple outfit that much more interesting due to the design. What do you think of the outfit? Comment and let me know xx.
What I Was Wearing:
Jumper – Wearall
Jeans – Citizens of Humanity
Belt – Gucci
Boots – Steve Madden

Super cute sweater, I’d loooove to have that one. Your boots! Too funny, I was in Steve Madden when they first came out, trying them on. I ended up grabbing them in black but the burgundy (it is so you!) almost came home with me too. Love them!

That doesn’t surprise me at all, ha ha! We do have similar tastes! Black sound lovely, but I definitely can’t resist anything burgundy and velvet as I’m sure you know, lol!
That is such a sexy jumper, I love it!

Stunning!!! But that jumper looks like it would just fall off!

It depends how you wear it, it stays on the shoulders if it’s worn properly, but can be slouchy too. I actually tucked the front parts into my bra so it stays put. Pretty useful tip, ha ha.
Downright ingenious. What else can show so much flesh yet still conceal a muffin top? 🙂

Ha ha 🙂
I love that twist, it’s a cute take on a knit! But it’s your lovely boots I’m liking the most in this outfit, such a nice touch of colour! 🙂
Hope you are having a good week so far! After being so busy last week, I’m enjoying a relatively quieter week and looking forward to the Easter long weekend.

This is an interesting one… I think it looks fabulous but that wasn’t my initial reaction. At first I thought it looked like some kind of strange optical illusion! Then once my eyes had started to make sense of it I switched to really liking it. It’s very much the case that I’ve never seen a design like that before though. 🙂
It certainly does show off that belt really nicely and those jeans look terrific. I’d be curious to see what other colour jeans the sweater would pair nicely with too.
Anyway, it’s great to see spring getting into your photos after the extended winter but still nice to see those robins staying around . 😀

Thank you, Steven! Yeah, it is an unusual type of jumper with this design, it’s not common, but I think it’s pretty cool. So glad you like it! I think it will pair nicely with blues too, for something a little more casual! If only Spring was still here, it’s pouring with rain yet again!
We haven’t got the rain here, it’s a nice spring day. Not very warm but at least there is some sun.
Yes, I agree, I think the jumper would go great with blue denim of pretty much any shade. I think you’ve got a really versatile item in that jumper. The more I see it the more I like it. Usually my first impression of an outfit holds but this time I’ve moved from uncertainty right through to adoring the look. It’s always fun to see something different and challenging of my preconceptions.

That’s cool! I’m the same, I usually stick with my first opinion, but then I can change! We will see what else I fancy styling it with in the near future! And you’re lucky, it’s still pouring here, ha ha.
Loving your boots, they’re so striking! I can’t stand the feel of wool and mohair directly into my skin too, I’m up for cotton as well. I like how you styled your jumper, so clever!

I like your sweater especially the twist front detail. I like that the front is a bit cropped because it shows your Gucci belt really nicely and your shoes, they are pretty amazing! The color is just so pretty and love the pop of color it gives against your entire outfit.

Greetings from Sydney Lorna. I was in Scouts and I still can’t figure out the knot on that jumper! It’s manufactured that way..?! It’s a great look, the grey and black together and the prominence of that belt and buckle. When it comes to unbeatable looks however, I’m a bit obsessed with symmetry, and lipstick, or something in your hair, matching the colour of your boots as much as poss, would be a crowing achievement. Still excellent though. And I love the way you look a bit glum and don’t smile, something different!
Author
Thank you! Yeah the jumper comes this way, I think it’s twisted as it’s made, so you can’t undo it. Glad you like the whole look!
Omg I’m literally obsessed with your outfit — So cute!!
