A Classic Black Blazer And Skinny Jeans Outfit

A Classic Black Blazer With Skinny Jeans

I hope you all enjoyed the long bank holiday weekend! For me it was mixed with a lot of clearing things out, lunch with my dad, photo shoots, and enjoying the rain. I even baked another gluten free cake, which if I do say so myself, turned out great, so I think it’s safe to say I’m getting quite good at the baking malarkey. Well, so far anyway! What did you all do for the weekend?

For this outfit, it is one you have seen a preview of before as I shared a snippet on Instagram and in my Mondaine watch review, but a lot of you loved it so I thought I would share the entire look! The Black Longline Blazer is from REISS and you have seen it before (here), the Silk Top is from ASOS, my jeans are Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop in All Black, my shoes are my Tamara Mellon Nude Heels, and the necklace is my custom birthday present from Stella & Dot.

Sometimes I really like to dress things up and wear classic black in a smart way. I absolutely love my casual skinny jeans with sweaters, but you can’t beat the feeling of looking put together. I would probably say something like this is a great event look, and similar to what I would wear to a fashion party or evening do for something, if a dress isn’t what you want to wear. Anyway, I am keeping this outfit post short and sweet, let me know what you think of it in the comments below. Lorna xx.

What I Was Wearing:
Blazer – REISS
Top – ASOS (similar)
Jeans – Citizens of Humanity
Shoes – Tamara Mellon (similar)

Such a beautiful classic outfit! I agree it’s a nice dressed up outfit for an event, I think the black with the little touches of nude are just perfect, looks so refined! 🙂

I hope that you are having a wonderful week after your long weekend! No long weekend here sadly!

Once again, effective use of contrasting blocks. Light-coloured top and nude heels with a black outfit? But of course. Lose either of those, and you’ve done yourself a visual disservice.

(Oh, and that huge watch face is just perfect.)

This piece never gets old, such a beautiful classic. Looks so chic and edgy on you too dear. Loving the silk top underneath too.

    Hello Lorna
On saturday i did some photo shooting, and on sunday I worked on the blog. I love you black suit, but i dont wear suits anymore, i worked in bank for sometime and the dresscode is a suit. So i promise myself i would never wear a suit again. But i must tell you are very fancy in it.

My bank holiday weekend (and the few days after) were a bit crazy but fun. It was my nephew’s 6th birthday on Bank Holiday Monday so I went down south, with my parents, to see him and we had a little family birthday party and took him to the funfair. 🙂 Then the next day he and his parents headed up north to us… It was a bit crazy to have people travelling in both directions on consecutive days but it was all good fun. Hence my lateness in catching up here… I’ve been away. 😀

Your outfit is great. I like how it’s very smart without being too formal. It balances that fine line very nicely indeed. The little flashes of red from your watch, lipstick and nails add nice finishing touches too. 🙂 The watch… I like it more and more the more I see it. 🙂

I’m happy for you that you’re getting further into baking. 🙂 It’s good fun isn’t it? Especially when it turns out looking something like how it ought to.

Oh that must have a been a busy, but fun time! Glad you enjoyed it!

I think the little red notes here make something more of the entire look too, just draw your eyes to sections of it and stop it from being too bland overall, I’m always pleased you notice the small details 🙂
