12 Cool Futuristic Dad Sneakers For 2019

The Best Dad Sneakers For 2019 With Futuristic Inspiration

The dad sneakers trend has been going strong all throughout 2018, but did you know that 2019 is going to be even bigger for these chunky, large trainers? So many different brands are releasing their own versions of dad sneakers this year, but do you want to know the coolest thing? A lot of the popular styles from last year are still hot now, plus the newer designs are getting more futuristic and cooler than ever before, so now is the perfect time to invest in a pair! I did my Fila Disruptor II review a couple of months ago after getting a pair of them (I resisted the trend for months, and caved in when I fell in love with these) and since then, I’ve been addicted, and on the hunt for my next pair. With that in mind, I thought I would do a roundup of the 12 coolest dad sneakers for 2019! You can’t go wrong with either of these and they’re all various price ranges from cheap to designer!

*Click the names below each image to buy the shoes. Happy shopping!

ASH Addict Sneakers

The Ash Addict is a mid range trainer, varying from £100 – £150 and comes in many different colour combinations, making them perfect for anyone. I really love the design and shape of these as they look similar to numerous designers, but in a very wearable way. I’ve chosen to feature the white pair here as they’re most versatile, but am planning to buy a multicolour version myself. They’re next on my list!

Fila Disruptor II Trainers

As I mentioned above, I own these and am SO happy that I do. The Fila Disruptor has been popular for months and they’re releasing new styles every week, so you can’t go wrong with them. They’re available for both men and women, but the version above is my favourite of them all. It’s subtle enough to be wearable (I live in mine) but has enough colour to be cool.

Balenciaga Triple S Sneakers

You can’t go far wrong with the Balenciaga Triple S, the shoe that started this trend, can you? They came onto the scene a year or so ago and have created an entire community of dad sneaker lovers! They have endless combinations, and this is one of the brand new styles I’ve fallen for. They do of course come with a higher price tag as they’re designer, but so worth it if you want a classic and want to make a statement.

Gucci Rhyton Sneakers

Gucci are always ones to watch when it comes to footwear, so it’s no surprise the Rhyton have made it into my list. These are the rainbow glitter ones, but there’s so many different colours and styles, you can’t go wrong with any. They are more understated and subtle than other larger designs, so check them out!

Jeffrey Campbell Lo-Fi Sneakers

The Jeffrey Campbell Lo-Fi is becoming increasingly popular with bloggers as LornaLuxe has been wearing hers constantly, so you might want to jump on the trend as they’re selling out fast. There’s various colours, and they’re mid range in price, but I think the white or black are the most classic of them. So wearable!

Adidas Temper Run Dad Sneakers

These were mostly men’s styles, but they do come in women’s now and I thought they were pretty cool. I like the wavy designs with the colour blocking, making the shape really fun. They give more of a modern take to the trend and I think that works!

Fila Ray Trainers

Just like the Fila Disruptor, the Fila Ray is the new hot trainer on the scene! These are coming in numerous different designs and they’re going to be just as popular. We’re already seeing so many people on Instagram rocking the Ray, so jump on board! They’re very affordable and are going to be so popular this Spring – you can’t go wrong! Since my Disruptor are so comfy, I would imagine the Ray is too!

Jeffrey Campbell Hotline Dad Sneakers

If you liked the Lo-Fi above, but wanted something larger as they just weren’t big enough, the Hotline from Jeffrey Campbell is the perfect option! Again, they’re affordable and they look so cool. I love the beige and cream tones here and how they have height to them, making them look really bouncy and moon boot-ish, which is on trend right now.

Chloe Sonnie Low Top Sneakers

Chloe isn’t usually one to jump on board these type of trends, so they have done their own take on it. With straps and floral designs, with a futuristic sole, these Sonnie Low Tops are next level cool! They bring a bit of fun and femininity, which I think is needed.

Fendi Logo Print Dad Sneakers

If you’re one for the top designers and love the bold logomania trend, the Fendi Logo Print are great for that. Dad style 90’s sneakers with a bubble sole, branded heavily in Fila inspired writing (so much so I actually wrote Fila above by mistake, ha ha), I can see these being one of the next big hits for 2019!

Calvin Klein Maya Sneakers

Calvin Klein didn’t want to be left out either, so they have come up with the Maya! These come in other colour combinations too, reminding me a lot of a walking boot, but still very dad sneaker inspired. Reminiscent of the 90’s too, these will definitely look good on your feet.

DSquared Giant Neoprene Sneakers

Finally, if you want to go big, bold, and in your face, check out the DSquared versions! They take it to the next level with giant, huge sneakers with a futuristic inspired sole, straps, colours, everything you could want all rolled into one! They are huge though, so trust me when I say they’re massive, make sure you can handle the size of their coolness!

So that’s my roundup of the 12 coolest dad sneakers which are futuristic inspired for 2019! You can’t go wrong with any of them and they’re all varying in price, so there’s something for everyone. One thing I do know is that this trend is still hot as we favour comfort over height these days, so trade in your heels and rock a pair of trainers! Which pair do you like the most? Lorna xx.

Yeah it’s not for everyone, and I didn’t like them at first, but now I really do!

Not a trend I’m going to be buying into – but if I did those glitter Gucci ones would be my pick, haha! I have a fun pair of glitter sneakers I am just waiting on cooler weather for so I can get back to wearing them, they are a really fun option! 🙂

Hope that you are having a great week! We finally have someone coming over to fix the aircon today, yey! Has been no fun in the heatwave without it!

I’ve noticed dad sneakers trending lately! I love that there are so many different stylings of them. I always had an affinity for white shoes but hate it when they get dirty. Thanks for sharing of these stylings!

Ooh, I really like those Calvin Klein Maya ones. 🙂 Not sure they’d be a great match with very much of my wardrobe but they’re really nice. 🙂 I generally don’t favour sneakers or trainers that have too much white on them because they’re a nightmare to keep looking clean. LOL These are all nice styles you’ve posted up here though even if I’d favour them more in darker colours. 🙂

I just love the look. I don’t think this trend is going anywhere for a while. I haven’t actually worn them myself, but there is a girl I know whose style is outstanding, and she has a couple of them. Nike 95 and a more expensive pair which I can’t remember right now. They look adorable with feminine things.
