Pastel Pinks For Easter

Happy Easter Everyone!

Happy Easter! I know I sometimes used to do a costume for Easter (see here, here and here), but this time I decided to be mature about it and do something like an Easter style outfit instead. What did I have in mind for that? Pastel shades. I’m often reminded of pastel pink, blue and green, so I went with pink and I love it. I wasn’t overly sure on the outfit at first though as it’s a combination I put together while trying to recreate a look from Allsaints (see here). I have since purchased that dress though and you will be seeing it soon, but for now, I’ve gone the custom route!

For my look, I was wearing a Topshop Satin Skirt, which was fairly affordable and comes in multiple colours! I then layered over the top my Topshop Cropped Fluffy Jumper, to try and re-create the style. For my shoes, I went with my RAYE White Boots to really make it look sophisticated, and finished it off with my The Cambridge Satchel Company Small Emily Bag in Lilac, to bring the Easter vibes. I do think the combination of the white and pink together is definitely Spring appropriate! What I’m looking forward to though is actually styling the Allsaints Tierney version itself, to see how different I can make it, or see how different it actually looks compared to my own creation.

Since this type of look is completely different to what I would normally wear, especially the satin skirt, I’m really interested to know your opinions on it. Do you think it suits me? And of course if you don’t like it, let me know as well, I wont be offended in the slightest. I’m always all about trying to mix things up and create different styles. I didn’t know if I wanted to share these photos at all, but I am glad I did as once they’re edited they look much better! Have a wonderful rest of your Easter Day! Lorna xx.

That’s such a cute outfit! I love the look of the “cut” above the waist, it gives the look a classier and more innocent vibe but the fit of the skirt makes it look mature.

Oh I’m so glad you like it and the higher rise like that! You’re right!

The pink and white is a lovely spring like Easter outfit and while this style of skirt is different for you I really like it – fun mix of textures with the cropped knit too!

Hope that you had a lovely Easter 🙂

This is one of my favourite looks on you so far, Lorna! You really suit these soft, light and gentle shades. Such a gorgeous bag by the way and your embossed initials are the perfect finishing touch. So stylish!

Wow! I would never have guessed that that’s a skirt. When I saw the first shot before reading the text I assumed it was a dress that you were wearing a sweater over! 🙂 Anyway, I like it. It’s very subtle and classy. Having just written, in your previous entry, that I don’t much like white shoes I now have to eat my words a bit because these shoes look beautiful. 😀

On a slightly sillier note – the colours in your outfit put me in mind of the white and pink eggs in Cadbury’s Mini Eggs – which, I suppose, is another Easter connection. 🙂

Yes! They reminded me of mini eggs too, ha ha. That’s why I think I was drawn to the Easter connection with the pastel tones, I probably was thinking about chocolate knowing me. I swear Cadbury mini eggs have changed though, I remember when I was a kid, they were in a tube and more powdery, tastes great, now they seem lackluster and taste different so I never really have them. I’m intrigued to know if you feel the same? And glad you love the boots! They are something special for sure! 😀

Yes… I think the texture has changed a bit and they are also probably a bit smaller too (and maybe the shell is thinner now also?). I still enjoy them though. It’d take a lot to put me off chocolate. 😉

Yes! The shell is much thinner, which is a shame, I do still enjoy Cream Eggs though! 🙂

Thanks for your comments =) I read & reply every one =)
