Rounding out 2020 with my outfits from the year
Another year has come to a close, and one of my favourite, traditional posts to do is the roundup of my favourite outfits from the year! I didn’t get to share as many outfits during 2020 as I usually do every other year, but that’s for obvious reasons! A lot of this year came to a halt because of lockdowns and everything else, it meant I wasn’t able to do as many shoots for many months. However, with that being said, I think I managed to get quite a few, considering! There were 37 published outfits on my fashion blog, so that’s pretty good going!
I’m keeping this blog post short, as it’s mainly to roundup and focus on the outfits, but please do let me know what outfit here was your favourite! It was a big change going from Adam shooting my photos at the start of the year, to my mum taking them for the last couple of months. I will also be doing a new year post very soon, talking about my plans for 2021 and opening up a little bit more. Happy new year everyone! I genuinely hope that it is a happy new year, and not a happy new tier (for us in the UK, ha ha!). Lorna xx.

Hi Lorna
First off, thank you for keeping your blog updated – you’ve provided a wonderful escape by sharing your world from the misery that COVID has thrust upon us. I know it’s been tough for you too but you’ve maintained your dignity, integrity and honesty throughout and that’s to your credit. I find you and your achievements inspiring.
So…. which is my favourite outfit you’ve worn this year? For me it has to be November’s all black Rock Chick ensemble – All Saints jacket and sparkly top, black skinny jeans and those gorgeous boots. You are fabulously sexy in those pictures. (I did buy the top myself but the sizing didn’t work out for me 🙁 )
Running a close second is the last outfit of the year – this time your shiny skinny jeans (love you in those!) and that lovely rainbow sweater is so cute and suits you perfectly.
Which is your favourite outfit?
You wrote you’re wearing your outfits to everyday things and places which is great. There’s no point having lovely clothes if they’re only worn “for best” or “special occasions”. Certainly in life at the moment their aren’t too many of those.
A few weeks back I wore one of my favourite outfits including my black hat and sparkly silver scarf to the supermarket and got a couple of lovely compliments from people who I don’t know. What a lovely lift that was! So I totally recommend wearing your finery as often as possible. It’s so great seeing people looking beautifully dressed.
To finish off, I want you to know you are much appreciated and loved by me, and wish you all the very best of health and hope find a lovely someone in 2021.
Here’s a big, warm hug from me and…….
Happy New Year!!!

Hi Russ!
Wow, what a beautiful comment that you left me. The fact that you took the time out to leave such a heartfelt and inspiring comment has really lifted my day. Thank you!
I do love that outfit too, the black leather jacket and the black boots! It’s one of my favourites! I did love the gold boots one, and the burgundy leather jacket. I liked most of them to be honest!
That’s really nice that you got some compliments on your scarf too! I always compliment someone if they are wearing something nice, so I’m glad that other people are doing that. Especially in these times as I’m finding everyone much less friendly these days.
I’m really happy that I’ve been able to inspire you this year, and I hope I can continue to do so over the next years to come!
And yes! Wearing our good clothes to do daily things seems to be the only time I get to wear them now, so I’m definitely going to keep that up! I might not be heading to the post office or supermarket in a ballgown, but something close to it, ha ha!
Happy New Year!
Hi Lorna
It’s great that we can help and support each other here. 2020 taught me it’s better to say what we really feel about people, hire they make us feel and be kind to them rather than assume they know what we feel.
Anyway, why not a wear a ball gown around Waitrose*? It might be fun and you could meet your Prince Charming as a result?! The only thing is maybe wear some nice heels rather than do a Lily Allen – I think that look has long gone 🤪
As always, big hugs and love

Ha ha! I remember that video of hers with the dress and trainers! Gosh that was some time ago now! You never know, I could meet my Prince Charming there! Wouldn’t that be wonderful? I will wear glass slippers 😀
It’s good you still managed to take some outfit photos through the year! It certainly was an eventful and different one for us all!
Hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and are having a happy new year 🙂

Thank you so much, Mica 🙂 Really happy you liked my outfits! And it sure was, very eventful. I know things are getting back to normal for you in Australia, or are back to normal now. We’ve just gone into another nationwide lockdown. It’s never ending!
Happy new year 🙂
Love all your outfits, but my favourite must be the first photo in June

Thank you, Ian! I really hope so too! Everything is still on hold and we have just gone into another national lockdown here! Thank you for supporting me and stopping by regularly! It’s genuinely appreciated!
Hi Lorna 🙂 You have some lovely outfits in these selections – almost all of which I’ve missed having not dropped by in ages. My favourite, at first glance, is the one from June with the floral green/orange/cream top. I’ll have to look out the full post on that and some of the others. That last photo from December is also stunning.
I’ve really, really struggled with 2020 and the lockdowns and their effects on my mental health so I’ve not felt much like engaging with anything a lot of the time… To be honest, when I’m not at work, I’ve spent more time hiding under my duvet then doing anything much else lately. Also, as you might have noticed, I deleted my Instagram account earlier this year because keeping it was just adding to my distress (for reasons that you understand). The only social media I still use is Facebook now – so please feel free to shout me there any time. Anyway, hopefully I’ll get back into being about here more as and when 2021 improves and freedoms return and I hopefully start to feel mentally stronger again.
I wish you a very happy and successful new year. 🙂

I’m sorry to hear you haven’t been doing so well this year, Steven. That’s awful. I do understand how much of a tough year it’s been for everyone, especially those that live alone, like you do. It’s hard not having someone there for you, and a connection with another. I really hope this year is a lot better for you, I genuinely do. Thank you so much for stopping by! I unfortunately don’t really use FB, I only use it for my work page. But I will perhaps email you!
Yes, please do. I do have my parents as my nominated support bubble – so I can at least visit them though they are about 15 miles away. What frustrates me the most is that on work days I get to mix with dozens of people I don’t really care about but I can’t see friends and family… Oh well… Got to keep hoping. 🙂

I know, none of it makes any sense at all. It’s all so silly! 🙁
