A Tartan Skirt With A Long White Coat Outfit

A Tartan Skirt With A Long White Coat Outfit

Happy Thursday! I’m back with an autumn outfit that features shades of cream, which is my favourite! As you know, I always favour neutrals, especially in lighter tones like this, but I love to add a little pop of colour in there somewhere. This outfit is kind of wintry and festive at the same time as autumnal as it has red plaid, which is always associated with Christmas time. However, it’s also suited to my name as the name Lorna is from the Scottish McDougal clan, and their tartan is red!

For this outfit, I was wearing my Topshop Red Plaid Mini Skirt that I have had for years! It’s still one of my favourite skirts for this time of the year, so I really enjoy wearing it. It’s made of corduroy as well, which also gives it a wintry vibe. I usually always wear this skirt with over the knee boots and my favourite pair that I own are these DUO Empress Thigh High Boots which are made from stretch black suede. They have different calf sizes, so I usually only wear DUO boots as I have small calves!

Buy these outfit pieces below:

For the top pieces, I opted to wear my Zara Cropped White Fluffy Jumper, which I’ve also had for a couple of years and can never get enough of! It fits really well with higher waisted items and as a layering piece. Which is why I layered my REISS Arla Petite Cream Coat over the top.

For those of you that follow me on Instagram, you will know that this is my new favourite coat as I’ve worn it so many times! I always pick petite in REISS coats as I’m 5ft 4 and just on the cusp of the cut off point, but their regular sizes are often too long and overwhelming on my frame.

This Arla coat is lightweight as it’s unlined, and it’s incredible! It’s so chic and stunning (you can see it worn with a jumpsuit here) but it literally goes with everything. Since it’s a petite, I took size UK 8 in it. It’s one of my best purchases this year.

Now moving onto my bag, you might remember this one from my Mulberry Small Lana Top Handle Bag review and again, it’s a new obsession of mine! The cream shade is absolutely perfect for this coat and it’s ideal for the autumn and winter seasons, however it will perfectly cross over into the warmer weather with floral dresses. You couldn’t ask for a more versatile bag than the new Mulberry Lana! I wont go into too much detail here as that’s what my review post is for, which also contains a YouTube video, so please do check that out!

Anyway, as always, I love to hear your opinion on my outfits and what you think of this one in particular! And of course, if you have any questions regarding any of the pieces I’m wearing, I’m happy to answer them in the questions below for you! I hope you have a lovely weekend ahead!

    Dearest Lorna,
your outfit is a very successful mix of elegance and sexy appearance.
Especially the contrast to the very elegant coat with handbag to the Scottish skirt with the very cool overknee boots is super hot…..It’s an outfit made for you. Its LORNA-like hot.
    Kisses Gert
