It wasn’t until I hit my thirties that travel really became something that I loved. I was always afraid of flying, and always uncomfortable staying away from home, until I jumped into it head first and took my first solo trip to the USA to meet Christen. This was during the end of the pandemic, and I had to actually stay over in Croatia first, for two weeks, before being allowed to enter the United States. This was a huge trip for me, all by myself, but it was so worth it! It opened up a huge love of travel and now I have lots of plans to go to so many different places!

When you look online and you see celebrities travelling all the time (multiple times a week), it does make it feel better for you, as it’s a totally normal thing to do. Of course they make it easy by flying first class or with a private jet, and that’s one thing that I took from my solo travel experiences in order to make it pleasant and really enjoyable. Travelling in the best and most comfortable way possible! Treating your plane travel as a luxury and heading off to some of the most picturesque places for a holiday is the way to do it!

New York

New York is of course one of the most incredible places to visit! Especially at night. It’s called the city that never sleeps for a reason and looking at the Brooklyn Bridge at night is a sight to behold. New York has some of the most upper class destinations, especially when it comes to shopping and the type of accommodation you’re choosing. It’s one of the most iconic destinations with some of the most Instagrammable locations. Once you arrive at one of their airports, take a private car to the Manhattan area and live out the lavish dream of Manhattan, New York. The most expensive and luxurious area. SoHo and Tribeca are two great places to stay.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

When I stayed in Croatia for two weeks, I stayed in Cavtat, which is just outside of Dubrovnik. If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, Dubrovnik is the filming location. Now Croatia as a country is incredible! Not only are the people super friendly and polite, but it’s such a stunning location. Dubrovnik is known for its distinctive Old Town, which is encircled with massive stone walls. These were completed in the 16th century and they still look breathtaking today. Some of the most famous areas are paved with limestone, and the pedestrianized Stradun (Placa) is lined with shops and restaurants. It’s a luxury getaway with incredible views. It’s a place that I want to go back to time and time again.

Bali

Of course I would have to put Bali on my list! Bali is a province of Indonesia and the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands. It’s full of stunning unique temples, rich history, and so many Instagram worthy locations – every influencer and celebrity goes there. It’s probably one of the most famous destinations for a luxury holiday. Not only are the waters crystal blue and the sun shining everyday, you need to check out Ubud and Lovina if you want some incredible shots and views!

Nice, France

Nothing says a luxury holiday destination like the French Riviera does it? Nice (the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes department on the French Riviera), sits on the gorgeous shores of the Baie des Anges.

I can’t leave the Maldives out of this list! I’m sure you’ve seen all of the travel influencers honeymooning here and enjoying everything the island has to offer. The Maldives is named after the main island and capital of Malé. It’s southwest of Sri Lanka and India, so you know the weather there is incredible. The Maldives has some of the most iconic locations that you see in everyone’s photos. The bright blue water, the clean white sand, and all of those huts that line the shallow waters of the island? I know you know. You can stay in one of those luxury vacation properties on the water, and you can swim with the ocean life. The endless amounts of aqua blue water, palm trees and more, it’s one of the prettiest locations I’ve ever seen.

Tahiti

Similar to the Maldives, Tahiti is aqua blue, white sand, and gorgeous sunshine. Tahiti is the largest island in French Polynesia, the South Pacific archipelago, and it’s insane! You can stay in the luxury over water bungalows, and enjoy the mountain jungle treks. I’ve seen Tahiti as a popular destination for luxury travel influencers, but not as popular as places like the Maldives and other major hot spots, so if you prefer something a little less common, Tahiti is the place for you.

Milan, Italy

I feel like Milan doesn’t need any explanation, but for those of you that haven’t ever visited the gorgeous fashion capital of Italy, it’s a must. The shopping in Milan is one of the best since Italy is home to most of the luxury labels productions, and the rich Roman history and architecture at the same time just combines the most picturesque locations for photos and enjoying a luxury getaway. A city vacation is sometimes what’s needed, especially when there’s lots of shopping to get done!

Santorini, Greece

Greece has been at so many people’s top spots when it comes to photo worthy locations, and Santorini is at the top of that list. The famous white and blue buildings on the hills of the blue water is one of the most famous sights that everybody knows. Santorini is one of the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. Its famous landscape was carved when it was devastated by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, forever shaping it. I’ve seen so many Instagram worthy spots in Santorini, and it’s truly a luxury holiday destination that you have to visit at some point!
