Top 5 Affordable Luxury Bags Of 2025

Top 5 Affordable Luxury Bags Of 2025

Those of you that know me and have followed Ford la femmes for quite some time will know that I am addicted to bags! I have quite the collection of bags, most of them being designer and luxury, and they are one of my great passions in life. Most of my designer handbag collection is made up of Saint Laurent, Celine, Louis Vuitton, and just one Chanel now, but I also have many bags from brands like DeMellier, Coach, Mulberry and more!

I wanted to make this blog post and share with you my top 5 affordable luxury bags of 2025, because I’ve found myself gravitating towards those brands so much over the last year. The last expensive bag that I bought was from Celine, 1 year ago exactly, and since then I have found myself purchasing only Mulberry, DeMellier, Coach, and more recently, checking out RSVP Paris.

A lot has changed for me over the last year, and while I still absolutely adore and love my bag collection, I personally don’t see myself spending out a tonne of money again for a designer bag. I’ve found a lot of them to have issues in their quality and craftsmanship, and they really are not worth the price tag, especially when you can get luxury bags with great designs for such a better price point! So check out my top 5 choices below!

DeMellier

I came across DeMellier about 10 or 11 months ago. I was looking for an alternative to the Saint Laurent Le 5 a 7 shoulder bag because I find that one slips off of my shoulder, and I wanted a version that was more practical. DeMellier has some amazing bags and designs, but this specific design ‘The Tokyo‘ is my all time favourite! I love it so much that I own it in White and Nude as well as Black. I was wearing the Nude version all summer long as it’s so practical, easy to use, and sleek!

The brand’s bags are made in Ubrique, Spain, which is known for high quality craftsmanship. The Tokyo is £345, so that’s much more affordable than the designer version from YSL, and even though it has a fabric lining, it’s still gorgeous! I rate DeMellier highly and it’s in my top bag picks for 2025 – I can see this brand taking off even more as I’m regularly seeing their styles on people out and about.

One of the best things, since we’re moving into a sustainable world now, is that DeMellier are ethically and sustainably made! They have core values like ethical & sustainable manufacturing, sustainably sourced materials and sustainable operations. They also fund life saving vaccines to children with every purchase.

Mulberry

I have loved Mulberry since 2010 and before! It’s been a brand that has always hit my heart. My favourite bag design from them is the Lily, and I own the Lily in 6 different colours currently (Pink, Black, Orange, Nude, Gold, and Dusky Rose) and I always want more of them! It’s one of the most practical bag designs since you can wear it cross-body or on the shoulder, and it fits so much! The Lily itself is priced from £995 to £1095, however they do often go in the sale and you can find some in the outlets for half price.

The reason why Mulberry is high on my list for 2025 luxury bag brands is because they’re so eco-friendly as well! The sustainability factor of their materials and craftsmanship (they’re made in Somerset, England) is incredible, and they offer a life long repair service, as well as sell pre-loved bags on their website too. So not only are their designs really elegant and beautiful, they do good by the planet, and they’re a more affordable luxury brand that I’ve never stopped loving.

RSVP Paris

RSVP Paris is newer on the scene and they are the youthful image of French savoir-faire. Approaching accessories from a design practice, creating the finest leather pieces. They only make a limited numbered series of 500 pieces and I think that’s really cool! The brand was born with a heritage of excellence in quality and craftsmanship, and is deeply connected to both a community of generational artisans and the diversely sophisticated neighborhood where they work and welcome clients to their atelier and boutique.

RSVP are born and bred Parisians, engaged in the confluence of tradition, modernity, and mix of cultures that is the expression of the contemporary Parisian lifestyle. Not only are the designs really cool, unique, numbered and French inspired, they are also eco-conscious. They offer free repairs, and they also give new life to past creations as they repurchase, repair, and resell.

The bag that I have from RSVP Paris is the Munchkin in Grained Black Gold. It is the cutest little bag! When I first got this, I loved how well made it was. More often than not, when I walk into a boutique, I find flaws in the craftsmanship of luxury bags (hello Chanel’s having crooked flaps), but I found absolutely nothing wrong with my little Munchkin. Everything is perfect. I think this specific bag will be hot for 2025 as it’s fun, cute and so easy to wear as a top handle or a cross-body. The grained leather is really robust, and the magnets to close the flap are super secure. I can just see this on so many people! I love the RSVP Paris Munchkin so much that I want it in Burgundy! That’s on pre-order for January 2025 for £360.

Coach

Next up is Coach, but I want to be more specific and state that I’m only including the Tabby in this. I have two Quilted Tabby’s, one in the small 20 size with flowers, and one in the medium 26 size in black leather with silver hardware. I absolutely fell in love with the cute floral one for summer as it was just so much fun! Surprisingly the quality is really nice and it’s lamb leather – I can’t really fault it.

As an alternative to the Chanel Quilted Flap Bag, I got the Coach Tabby 26 in Black Quilting. I refuse to pay Chanel’s prices for their subpar craftsmanship these days, it’s absolutely ridiculous, and the Coach version is great. The Quilted Tabby has been super popular for 2024, but I can see it being a classic in 2025 as well. The other Tabby (the shoulder bag version with the smooth leather) is also a really popular bag. I recommend that one for 2025 as well (see mine here).

These retail for around £400-500, so they’re an affordable luxury bag brand. I don’t need to give much information about Coach as I feel like they’re really well known and have been around since 1941, but they have since gained a tonne of popularity as people are now being more conscious about money, while wanting cute and fun, fashionable bags.

Strathberry

I was debating whether or not to include Strathberry, as I haven’t personally seen their bags, however I have heard so many amazing things about them. Tanner Leatherstein recommends them on YouTube after a deconstruction, and his word means a lot to everyone. Given how focused we are on sustainability and affordability these days, I think Strathberry should get a mention for their Mosaic Nano bag that retails for £395 and comes in so many different colours.

It was Inspired by the works of Scottish artist Eduardo Paolozzi, and it’s a testament to the craft of form and function, as a smart, top handle style that’s designed to carry all of life’s little essential and offers the freedom to go hands-free when worn cross-body. It features the brand’s iconic music bar hardware and since mini bags are so popular now, as we dive into minimalism more and more, it’s a must have.

Strathberry bags are designed to be cherished year after year, while each product is beautifully handcrafted to the highest standards of craftsmanship in the mountain regions of Spain, where the knowledge and quality of leather work is exceptional. This is something I really value! All orders are expertly gift-wrapped in their signature black box & dust bag, made from fully recycled materials as well. The brand also has a commitment to sustainability – they are sustainable in the fabrics and leather they use, as well as the production, and the packing materials.

Conclusion

To round this top 5 affordable luxury bag brands for 2025 out, I went down the route of amazing designs, affordability, great craftsmanship, and eco-friendly production and values. Out of this list, my top 3 are DeMellier, Mulberry and RSVP Paris. I can definitely see the Munchkin being super popular in the months to come! I did want to include Polene, as they are very sustainable, and also crafted in Spain where their craftsmanship is impeccable, and I always hear amazing things about them for the price, but I’ve never really found any designs from them that I love, and while I appreciate the brand’s values and great products, first and foremost it’s about design for me. I have to fall in love with the bag’s design.

I can’t fault The Tokyo, the Lily, the Munckin, and the Tabby for their looks! Adorable, easy to use, classic, and well crafted! As is the Mosaic Nano from online photos. What bag brands are you looking at for 2025? And do you agree with the way the industry is shifting? Definitely watch out for RSVP Paris – I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of them!
